To reflect on the significant outcome of Prime Minister Hun Sen’s three-day successful visit to China and to highlight the two countries’ commitment to further promote comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation, the Asia Vision Institute (AVI), one of the major think tanks of Cambodia, on Tuesday hosted a special dialogue titled, ‘The Outcomes of the Visit of Prime Minister Hun Sen to China’.
Participants in the dialogue session spoke on a number of issues like the importance of the visit in strengthening the historical, social and cultural relations to the present-day ironclad friendship in an era of change, person-to-person contact, boosting ties in the areas of human resources development, science and technology, and trade, among others.
Opening the webinar AVI President Chheang Vannarith introduced the moderator of the special dialogue Chhem Kieth Rethy, Vice-chairman of the AVI Board of Directors, and panellist Tean Samnang, Director General of the Information, Research and Analysis Group, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and handed over the stage to Rethy.
Starting the webinar, Rethy said during the visit, Prime Minister Hun Sen met Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council, among the top leadership of China. All the leaders spoke highly of Cambodia-China’s ironclad friendship in an era of change following a disruptive world order and a very difficult period for all countries.
