Geopolitics of Generative AI: Implications for Cambodia

As global connectivity becomes intertwined and inseparable, the probability and intensity of geopolitical ramifications have increased, including those of generative artificial intelligence. This paper focuses on the potential geopolitical ramifications of generative AI by investigating infrastructure, information, and intention/ideology (the 3Is), all of which play essential roles in creating and using generative AI as a political tool. The paper’s conclusion examines the potential consequences of generative AI in Cambodia.
