The Impact of COVID-19 on Cambodia’s Construction Sector
The current global crisis, namely the Covid-19 pandemic, has seriously affected Cambodia’s economy, especially tourism, hospitality, manufacturing, and construction sectors. This article examines the impact of the pandemic on one of Cambodia’s main drivers of economic growth, the construction sector. Relying on the secondary data analysis, this article argues that while the pandemic has negatively affected the construction sector, ongoing private-funded and government-funded construction projects have reduced the impacts and could potentially revitalise the economy in the post-Covid-19 era.
