For May 2021, Asian Vision Institute has put a lot of efforts on environmental sustainability and its impacts on economy. We launched the AVI-SDGs Dialogue. The topic of the month is Food Security and Poverty amidst Covid-19. The topic will change every month.

“The [livelihood of the people] does not refer to cash-handouts by NGOs and donors because they are not sustainable. Rather, it refers to the creation of local jobs security and sustainable sources of income in the local areas. The income from sale of carbon credits can also be a long-term solution to the livelihood issues.”
