Ms. Sarun Virya is a sophomore majoring in Global Affairs at the American University of Phnom Penh. Currently, she is an intern under the Centre for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) at the Asian Vision Institute (AVI). She is also serving as the officer of research and development at the ASEAN Youth Advocate Network (AYAN) Cambodia.

She was a scholarship recipient for many prestigious universities in Cambodia upon graduating high school and has had previous experiences in several model ASEAN and United Nations meetings as a delegate. She then became a student tutor at her university, where she located her sense of fulfillment – in disseminating knowledge, aiding others, and most importantly, in giving back to society.
