Dr. Kuok Fidero is currently the Director General of National Institute of Science, Technology & Innovation (NISTI) under Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) – Cambodia. He also serves as a Board Member of Advisers to

the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI-Cambodia).

Dr. Fidero holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT) – Japan. Before joining NISTI, he worked as Dean of Faculty of Chemical and Food Engineering at Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) where he offered courses in Genetic Engineering, Integrated Waste Management and Project Management, and supervised Engineering and Graduate students. He is also an active member of the Agro-Ecology Learning Alliance in South East Asia (ALiSEA) and Health Impact Assessment Network in ASIA PACIFIC and Cambodian Youth Agro-ecology Team (CYAT). Dr. Fidero was awarded an ASEAN Science Diplomats in 2019 and ASEAN S&T Fellow 2018/19 by the ASEAN Foundation working on the Analysis of Opportunities and Challenges of Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) to support the Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Cambodia.
