Ms. Tan Geraldine is currently working as a Senior Lecturer (Tourism Department) at Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT) in Cambodia and is a part-time doctoral student in the Faculty of Hospitality, Food & Leisure Management, Taylor’s University (Malaysia). She received a dual degree in Master in International Hospitality Management and Bachelor in Tourism Management & Engineering from Taylor’s University (Malaysia) and University of Toulouse II (France).
Before joining the academic sector, she worked in the hospitality and tourism industry, with experience in South East Asian countries, focusing on human resources in hotels. Her field of research include the dark tourism phenomenon and its relationship with history, heritage, identity, urbanism and religious tourism. She is currently working on interdisciplinary research topics, focusing on Cambodia.
