Cambodia Needs Food Irradiation Facilities for Economic Growth and Sustainable Development

Food irradiation can significantly enhance food safety and extend the shelf life of agricultural products. Despite some challenges, the article argues that the long-term benefits of having food irradiation facilities outweigh the impediments. They will facilitate Cambodia’s further entry into global markets, create more employment opportunities, and increase export volume. The article advocates for the prudent consideration of establishing food irradiation facilities in Cambodia for sustainable economic and agricultural development.
