Admitted to the degree of Master of Economics by the University of New England, Australia in 1988. Worked in the Ministry of Finance, Nepal for about 15 years and left the Government service in 2000 from the post of Under Secretary. Served as Advisor to the Executive Director, World Bank, 1989-1992. Worked as Research Coordinator and Senior Economist at the Secretariat of Asian Wise Persons’ Group, 2000-2010. Undertook international consultancy works of Asian Development Bank and ASEAN. Most of works carried out were in the areas development policy and strategy, sub-regional cooperation, and nature and environment protection.
